Individual Consultations

Upside Focus Logo

You need a health professional who listens and cares. You also need someone who takes the time to hear the whole story with all the details. You need someone who will look at the big picture and not just focus on a single symptom. Because I listen and take time for you, your first consultation may take up to two hours.

How To Make An Appointment?

You can call or email and we can make a time to get together. After the appointment is made, I will send you a brief form to get your details, any allergies or issues in your health history that I need to know about, as well as the reason for your visit.

What Happens During The First Consultation?

We talk about lots of things including family history, sleep and exercise habits, current diet and anything else relevant to the reason for your visit. This can take an hour, sometimes longer. After this we can talk about an action plan that may include simple tools and hacks to improve your health and may also include prescription only nutraceuticals that will help support your goals.

Can I Have A Cardiovascular Risk Assessment Including Real Time Blood Analysis During My Consultation?

Yes, you can, however it will add about 45 minutes to your appointment.

What Do You Test?

Heart Attack And Stroke Risk:

We do this by looking at muscle and weight composition, hydration and blood pressure. We also measure blood cholesterol and fat level (using a small drop of blood from your finger).

Diabetes Risk:

Using just a small drop of blood, we can assess average blood glucose levels over a 3-month period. This provides a more accurate overview of your risk of developing diabetes – a disease which can lead to multiple debilitating medical conditions. Once we know the risk we can prepare a course of action for you and your future health.
